May/June 2009

Midas Touch

The rose of the month for May and June is the hybrid tea Midas Touch. Introduced in 1992 and chosen an All-America Rose Selection in 1994. The particularly bright yellow blooms are a bright spot in any garden. The foliage is large and abundant and the bush grows tallish and upright. As with all hybrid tea roses it requires heavy winter protection in Zone 4. Have you tried it yet? What is your experience with Midas Touch? Rate it in the poll below.

A note about our rose of the month selections: We choose only roses grown in local gardens. The photos are all taken in those gardens and unretouched. Our goal is to celebrate the roses we know and love and share them with you. We hope you like them too!
