Jude the Obscure

I chose Jude the Obscure for April's rose of the month because the picture reminded me of spring sunshine, something I am enjoying very much the last few days. Jude the Obscure is one of the most beautiful David Austin shrub roses. It was introduced in 1997 and the ARS rates it at 8.0. The plant is 3.5-4 feet in height with medium green foliage. The blooms have been described as anywhere from soft apricot to medium yellow. They are cupped and very double and have a damask fragrance. As with other David Austin roses, it requires some winter protection in our Zone 4. What is your experience with Jude the Obscure? Rate it in the poll below.
