Rose of the Month ~ March 2006

Frontenac

Frontenac is a shrub rose, introduced in 1992 as part of the Canadian Explorer series. It has deep pink blooms with 20 to 25 petals. It is hardy up to Zone 3 so it makes an excellent shrub in our Zone 4 weather. The plant grows 3-4 feet, but given a good location, good soil and lots of sun it's been known to get larger. Frontenac is very disease resistant and reblooms throughout the summer. What is your experience with Frontenac? Rate it in the poll below.
