Rose of the Month ~ March

Cupcake
March's rose is the miniature Cupcake. It was introduced
in 1981 and has an ARS rating of 8.3. As you can see from
the photos below it is a beautiful pink, classified medium
pink by the ARS. Like other pinks, the color can change with
the temperature, more pink in the cool weather and lighter
in the heat. Either way, it's a vigorous plant that does well
in containers and is disease resistant. The plant stays around
a foot and a half high. Cupcake's parentage is Gene Boerner
x (Gay Princess x Yellow Jewel) and was introduced by NorEast
Miniature Roses.
