~ Rose of the Month ~
January/February 2009

Opening Night

January's rose of the month is Opening Night. A medium/dark red hybrid tea introduced in 1998. It's blooms are borne on long stems and are crimson colored, fading to a dark pink. Dark, glossy green foliage makes a beautiful specimen in the garden. As with all hybrid teas, it requires good winter protection in Zone 4. Have you tried it yet? What is your experience with Opening Night? Rate it in the poll below.
