About the Twin Cities Rose Club
The Twin Cities Rose Club (TCRC) is a nonprofit organization
and an affiliate member of the American Rose Society devoted
to the promotion of our national flower, the rose. We accomplish
our mission through educational programs, informative meetings,
an annual rose show which free of charge and open the public.
We hold annual sales of hardy roses at great discounts and
sell rose related products (like cocoa bean hull mulch) to
rose growers once a year in April to supplement our low membership
dues.
The club has over 150 members and actively recruits new members
through our booth at the Minneapolis Home and Garden Show,
our member referrals and our education and participation at
local garden centers.
TCRC meets at 7:30 on the third Friday of January, February,
April, May, June, September and October. (click
here for directions). Each meeting hosts a guest speaker.
Speakers from past meetings have included local rose specialists
as well as rose growers from other parts of the country. Every
meeting also includes a Rose Culture mini seminar especially
geared for novice rose growers and exhibitors. If you enjoy
rose growing you're sure to enjoy our meetings.
An annual dinner meeting and election is held in October
and the guest speaker is guaranteed to be interesting.
